Feel free to make comments or ask questions from Rob’s story.

Turning some the personal themes into collective questions:
-
How political are you? What does political/apolitical even mean?
-
How is Jesus’s teaching inherently political (IE: The teaching of policy, working with, for, or against others etc). How is it beyond politics?
-
How can we point to Jesus in an era where Christianity has been so sullied by antichrist ideologies?
-
Can we work toward the greater good successfully without using the power of coercive, deceitful systems and actions?
-
Do you see the results of the slow, relational path to change in your own relationships?

In the past two months we’ve heard several different categories of “stories that made us” (historical, scriptural, ancestral, familial, personal, musical, fictional novels). What categories of stories are most influential for you?
Mark 12 (NSRVUE): 14b Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? 15 Should we pay them, or should we not?” But knowing their hypocrisy, he said to them, “Why are you putting me to the test? Bring me a denarius and let me see it.” 16 And they brought one. Then he said to them, “Whose head is this and whose title?” They answered, “Caesar’s.” 17 Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were utterly amazed at him.
